The World Religions Conference (WRC) has been serving for the last 40 years in Canada as an invaluable means for bringing different religious and ethnic communities together in a manner which breeds tolerance, peace, cooperation, and understanding amongst the different religions within our society. This event is Canada’s largest and longest running Multi-faith event.
The theme selected for this year's conference is "Combating Racism". Observing the growing incidents of racial discrimination, bigotry, injustices and prejudices of different forms in our society, the World Religions Conference will aim to address the root causes of racism and suggest ways to make our society to respect all and combat racism. The conference further hopes that such mutual exploration will encourage better understanding and promote a harmonious coexistence among the members of Canada's cultural mosaic.
The 40th World Religions Conference is planned to be held in person for speakers at the WRC-Studio, and live streamed for the audience for a virtual participation.
Speakers representing the world’s major religions Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Indigenous Spirituality and Humanism will participate in the event.
The event is hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at of Canada with the cooperation of several cities, media, academic institutions and faith based associations.
