The Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, York Region, is proud to host an interfaith symposium on "Purpose of Life and Suffering". Representatives from Christianity, First Nations, and Islamic faiths will present their perspectives on the topic. Mayor of Midland, Gordon McKay, will moderate the event.
The Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam arranges such symposiums on subjects of public interest. Speakers from different faiths are invited to speak. There is no charge, the symposiums are open to the public, and questions (addressed to the speakers) are invited from the public. The purpose of these symposiums is to bring people from different faiths together to listen to the teaching from the perspective of different religions. These interfaith events bring understanding and respect among fellow citizens and promote peace and harmony in our society.
